Barley Idli

Ingredients

  1. Barley millet - 1 cup

  2. Urad Dal(Washed) White - 1 cup

  3. Masar Dal(Washed)Pink - 1 Cup

  4. Fruit Salt(Eno) - 1 teaspoon

  5. Salt - As per taste

 

Method

  1. Wash thoroughly barley grains and dals separately and soak overnight.

  2. Mix all three and grind with little water to a thick paste.

  3. Shift this paste in a bowl add salt and give a nice stir till the mixture become creamy and fluffy.

  4. Add 1 teaspoon fruit salt and stir gently and pour in idli stand and steam immediately for 10-15 minutes.

  5. Serve hot with Sambhar and Chutney.

Note: You can also add spices or vegetable in Idli mixture before steaming
