Ingredients
Sprouted moong dal-1 cup
Besan-1 Tbsp
Green chillies-2
Onion-1 + 1( for Curry)
Garlic-2 cloves+2( for curry)
Ginger-1 Piece
Spices-Salt, Turmeric, Jeera and dry coriander powder(as per taste
Oil -1 tsp for koftas+ 1 Tb spoon for curry
Tomatoes-2 (for curry)
Method
Grind sprouted dal to a thick paste along with a piece of ginger, 3 cloves of garlic and green chilli.
Add 1 Tbsp of besan and salt, a pinch of turmeric, jeera and coriander powder to the mixture.
Add finely chopped onion to the mixture and stir well.
Heat the appe maker and add few drops of oil in each cavity.
Make little balls of this thick mixture and pour one in each cavity.
Cook on medium - slow flame by covering the appe maker for 5 minutes until all koftas are cooked from one side.
Flip each of the kofta's and cook again for 5 minutes till the koftas are cooked evenly.
Make normal tomato/onion curry for koftas and pour these koftas in curry and serve hot with chapatis
