Steamed Dahi Bhalla

Ingredients

  1. Moong Daal (Yellow)Soaked (100 gm)

  2. Urad Daal (White) Soaked (100gm)

  3. Fizzy Salt like ENO-1 tsp

  4. Salt (to taste)

  5. Rock Salt-1/2 tsp

  6. Hing (to taste)

  7. Curd - Beaten to a smooth consistency

  8. Mint Chutney

  9. Tamarind Chutney

  10. Black Pepper powder

  11. Roasted Cumin Powder

 

Method

  1. Wash Moong and Urad Daal thoroughly and soak overnight.

  2. Grind together with little water

  3. Add salt to taste and mix briskly with a spatula till the mixture becomes fluffy.

  4. Add one packet of fizzy edible salt like ENO and mix gently

  5. Steam the Bhallas in an Idli Maker

  6. Add little salt and Hing to warm water and dip the steamed bhallas

  7. Beat the curd gently and add 1 tsp sugar, and 1/2 tsp Rock salt.

  8. Squeeze Bhallas gently and add to curd

  9. Serve with Mint Chutney, Tamarind Chutney, Salt, Black Pepper and Roasted Cumin powder.

Time Saver: Make extra bhallas and refrigerate a portion for the next time you crave for Delicious Dahi Bhallas!
