Ingredients
Mix vegetables (To taste) finely chopped - 1.5 Cups. (include Carrots, Bell Peppers, Green Beans, Cabbage etc )
Onion Finely chopped - 1 Small.
Oats - 2 TbSp
Garlic Cloves - 4-5
Corn Flour - 1 TbSp
Soya Sauce - 1tsp
Red Chilli Sauce - 1 tbsp
Tomato Ketchup - 2 TbSp
Vinegar - 1 TbSp
Oil - 1 TbSp
Green Onion / Shallots -1
Salt - To Taste
Black Pepper - To taste
Method
For Manchurian Balls
Finely chop the Green onion and 2/3 Garlic cloves. Mix well with 1 cup of finely chopped mixed vegetables.
Dry Roast the Oats for 2-3 and grind to a powder in a food processor.
Mix dry Oat powder with the Vegetables and add Salt and Black Pepper to taste.
The mixture will be slightly sticky. Make round balls as per the desired size.
Heat the Appe make and add a few drops of oil in each of the compartment. Place one ball in each. and cook covered at slow heat. Flipping when ready from one side.
For Sauce
Heat a wok/sauce pan - add little oil and finely chopped onion.
Add remaining 1/2 cup mixed vegetables and 2-3 chopped garlic cloves.
Saute till vegetables are tender.
Mix Cornflour in 1/2 cup water to make a smooth mixture and add to the cooked vegetables.
Add Soya Sauce, Chilli Sauce and tomato ketchup and mix. Let the mixture come to a boil.
Add the cooked Manchurian Balls and let them simmer for 3-4 minutes.
Serve with rice or as a snack!
